Juul Charging Problems: Why Isn’t Your Juul Charging?

Is there anything more frustrating than having a dead Juul that just won’t charge? The problem might be the Juul battery itself. However, in our experience, the problem more likely lies with the charger than the battery. Take a moment to diagnose Juul charging problems and find out which Juul charger we prefer.

Are Juul Charging Problems Caused by the Charger?

So, are your Juul charging problems caused by the charger. Nine times out of ten, that has been our experience. We actually applaud the reliability of the Juul device when compared to other vapes we have used, but man, those smart guys really need to work on the charger.

Anyway, we’ll start off by telling you which charger we suggest using. We suggest this charger because its the one we use when our Juul charger doesn’t work to make sure that the Juul charger is the problem and NOT the Juul battery.

Why We Love the Gem Juul Charger

The Gem Juul charger works with the Juul, but it comes with a long cord. You can see a picture of it on the featured image of this page, or you can visit the link mentioned above to learn more.

These are a few advantages of the GEM Juul charger over the OEM one:

  • This design works better because it fits in the small space in the car by the USB port.
  • Mainly, the Gem Juul charger works because it works when the charger that came with our Juul batteries craps out.
  • In fact, we like it so much that we’ve purchased it as a gift for our Juul-loving friends who have become frustrated with their experience because their batteries won’t charge.
  • If you purchase the Gem Juul charger with this link, you get free shipping, a price lower than a replacement Juul charger, and the last we checked, you can use the Lighter USA PROMO CODE of GIVEME15 to get 15 percent off.
  • The current price for this charger at our suggested retailer is $6.95, but again, you may be able to use the Lighter USA promo code to get an additional discount. Standard shipping is free.

Diagnosing Other Juul Charging Problems

OK, so let’s say that you’re sure your charger works or don’t have the option of getting another charger right away. These are some tactics that have worked for us but usually mean the end is near even if they work:

  • You can try cleaning the connections with a dry or slightly moist cloth. You can also use a Q-Tip and a little rubbing alcohol. This includes the connections on your battery and your charger.
  • Sometimes we’ve actually gotten the charger to work by simply unplugging it and plugging it back in, taking out the pod, or pressing down gently on the battery.

If your Juul is new, you can also try exercising your warranty. The Juul comes with a one-year-warranty, so you might as well use it. Some people will suggest pulling the battery out and cleaning inside, but in our opinion, this is a bad idea for a number of reasons. In any case, messing with the insides will certainly void the warranty.

How to Make a Juul Charge Last Longer?

Juul says that a charge should last about as long as a pod does. This might be true for a new Juul, but as they age, performance appears to decline somewhat. Keeping your Juul fairly well charged appears to help extend overall battery life. If you leave the battery empty a lot, it’s likely to stop holding a charge as long. You should also make wiping off contacts part of your regular maintenance routine.

Is Juul Battery Life a Problem for You?

If your Juul tends to die inconveniently, the best solution is probably to buy a spare. You might also invest in one of those after-market cases that also charges your Juul. For example, the Typhoon Juul Charging Case will hold your Juul and charge it at the same time. There’s even room for an extra pod. The promo code of DNA10 should get you a 10 percent discount on your Juul charging case too.
